I did wonder what the heck happened to them. The forums bore me to death. Good luck to them though, I'm glad to see they're still going.
 
Sometimes I think mods could have their own reality TV shows, what with all the drama and infighting.

lol... everybody knows that they never had an 'original game design'.
 
There was a 60 page game design document, which greatly outlined the game itself, so don't even bother commenting when you have absolutely no clue and are just jumping on the bandwagon of flaming.
 
hmm, .. i want a trailer or a preview of a level or something. now. please.

Oh that sounds like Nuclear Dawn alright.

Write 60 pages about it, draw loads of concept art, hire legal teams, photoshop screenshots, but don't actually make the game.

No matter what I say you're just going to twist it into a negative. Why don't you read the newspost and realise that Davel is no longer leading the mod, and that it's full of extremely talented workers who don't condone the actions of what he did and are just trying to create a decent mod that they hope people will enjoy.
 
Sounds like a little Nuclear Denial you've got going on there.
 
Interesting turn of events with DaveL no longer in the picture like he once was. Hope people give ND a fair shake and a chance to grow into a new and improved game from where it was.
 
Oh cmon people is't that what you guys want? DaveL is not the leader of the mod anymore.

The maps are the best Ive seen on source so far, the website looks very good, the screenshots look cool too.
I'm looking forward to play this mod and no Im not a ND fanboy. Im not an ND dev, Im not an ND community member, Im just seeing this news and the screens they release on hl2/mod news sites.
Im sure when this mod gets released most of you will play it.

You guys flame this mod because they photoshoped screenshots, so did Incoming source and no one cares.
You want to flame the mod because the leader flamed its members, Synergy mod is worse but no one cares.(http://forum.moddb.com/thread/18945/)

What is it with this mod?

I'm in the minority for this, but I'm pretty glad to hear they aren't dead.
 
I just want to see some actual gameplay in action :( (video, preferably)
 
I'm glad to hear that they shafted DaveL, I'm kinda surprised about it though, I thought DaveL would take the whole mod with him in his fall. Anyways, hope you can get things on track again and bring us a good mod!

exactly. I haven't been following this mod much, as the graphics look so good I imagine it will take ages to complete, but when I do glimpse occasionally in its direction, I am usually completely startled by the asskickery. this seems to be the only place it is getting loads of negativity.:thumbs:
 
Was I the only one that was totally unimpressed by this update? I don't want a mods life story, I want to see progress.
 
briscks's maps are, as always, fantastic. ND as a whole has always left me with a big feeling of "meh", though. I think "total indifference" sums it up for me.

A bit of a special case this is. DaveL wasn't all that popular for the things he did and he kind of took the mod down with him. Now when he's gone, we might begin to see some improvement in that area.
 
I smell someone who shouldn't really comment until they see the finished product, especially considering they're just jumping on the bandwagon.
 
Getting rid of DaveL was the best move ND could have ever made
