Check out the coding for the official DPRK site. It is really strong!

I think they fixed it.

talking about north korea,I heard the war drills of the usa and south korea are over and I dont see nothing about the supposed nuclear attacks......

To quote myself from some time ago:

I like how:

- The forum page references jQuery from an imperialist Google server.
- The forum is completely one-way, it's not a forum, it's a (WordPress) blog with comments turned off, how hilariously fitting for a North Korean site.
- The site was built with Adobe Dreamweaver. Lawl.
- The forum slash blog has ads on it for medicine and handbags that they've tried to hide (incompetently) by giving it a height of 1px. The guy who made this was probably threatened with death if couldn't get rid of those ads.
- The domain expires in August 2011, it would be hilarious if you could hijack it.

Username for the blog is 'korea' as I just found out. Try logging in here:

Is there a certain day that it expires? I will camp for it.

August 8th. But I have no idea how that works, perhaps it auto-refreshes on that date. Worth a try though. Gotta be patient for another year though, before you can redirect it to [strike]**********[/strike] that site with three old men pleasuring eachother that is apparently censored here.

I don't get it.

The <strong> tag is basically the new tag for bold. Why there are so many nested (which has no additive effect) is the confusing/funny part.

Also, many services offer domain security and auto-renewal and so they'd have to really slip up and forget to auto-renew it for it to open up for a new registrar.

Yeah, I noticed the "forum" where you can't actually post anything, funny shit. What is the username for logging in? I tried administrator with password korea and no go (also tried user korea).

But we should worry, the north koreans now clearly possess front page 98, can't imagine all the propogenda they can spread using the breakthrough technology.

Shame the NK's won't be able to see it :(

Can a North Korean citizen use the internet to visit this web site?

This webpage is for non-DPRK citizens and is published outside the DPRK targeted for the international audience.
There is no direct access to the internet in DPRK.

So this is one of those websites they make for 'outsiders'.

I find it hard to believe they have websites for insiders. Except those in the Government or socialite class... who are probably the only individuals who have access to the internet somehow. Perhaps through China.

This is such an excellent find. why the hell are there so many strong tags I do not understand

For a real kicker read all up on their history. Especially the part about the Korean war:

THE IMPERIALIST YANKEES KNEEL DOWN

The Imperialist Yankees finally were forced to kneel down in front of the Korean people and the invincible Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

The Great Leader President Kim II Sung said:

'The Korean people achieved the heroic victory in the three years fighting against the armed invaders, the Imperialist Yankees, to defend the freedom and independence of the Motherland. The North-American imperialist aggressors suffered an humiliating defeat in their military adventure when they tried to convert our Motherland in their colony and maize the Korean people to become slaves for them'

The 27th of July of 1953, the Great War for the Liberation of the Motherland (Korean War) finished with the historic victory of the Korean people.

I find it odd that the DPRK site has a link for Spanish (espanol) and one for Galicia (not working). Galicia is a province of Spain. they speak a dialect of spanish. kinda like a mix of portugues and spanish however it's sort of a dying language and in use only in galicia. are the North Koreans secretly backing an independent Galicia? or just a case of engrish + lack of proper atlas

Within the left of Irish republicanism there is also a strange enthusiasm for separatists from different spanish and italian provinces.

ya basque not galicia

How do you know?

You're being pointlessly picky here, I've heard Galicia mentioned quite a few times in republican talks, although granted it receives less lip service that catalonia and the basque country.

I don't think their highly paid, highly trained IT staff know about stacking formatting...

thats cuz they want to turn them into outposts due to be inside west europe and nato territory

This made me laugh for a good whole 5 minutes.

I like North Korea's biased view of history on their website. Why, they are simply scholars, aren't they?
