Very awesome, and the win was deserved (I assume).

I was surprised to see that the zoom past their faces at the end contained so much CGI and compositing.

They probably spent a very large fraction of that. If that were a commercial, it would have cost probably 3-5 times that amount. And for probably less than 1 minute of it.
