The HL 1 demo was cool! Its a shame that they wont be making an HL 2 demo. But Ive getting HL2 the day it comes out so its not too bad.

There was no pre-release Half-Life demo (they eventually put out a demo called "Uplink" long after the game had been released. What there was was a leaked OEM demo that was warezed. It was called "Half-life: Day One" It wasn't an official demo. So if Valve doesn't release a demo prior to releasing HL2, this wont be a change for them at all.
