Overview Image

So I've heard about these "overview" pictures, which are basically like a giant picture of the entire game, made by taking a birdseye picture of each map then editing those pictures together, so that the exit point of one map matches up with the start point of the next. I've had a search on Google and found nothing so far, and I did a search here and found nothing either. So if anyone here knows where to find one, that would be really cool. It's probably been discused here at some point, so I though if such a picture does exist, then someone here would know about it.

There's one of HL1, but I don't remember seeing one for HL2.

Considering that you pass out like twice it's hard.

Labels anyone? I can't recognize anything, unless it's the Ravenholm exit in the bottom left corner. I see the huge bridge on Highway 17, but nothing seems to match up to the maps we see around on the road. Raises more questions then answers.

Woah... this is more like it. Very nice stuff, Riomhaire. I expect the citadel's actually too small to see on that picture. If/when I get HL2 installed on my PC again, I might try making a hi-res version. I'll probably just give up pretty quickly, but a higher res version would make it a lot easier to pick out familiar places, of course.

Actually, the coast matches up almost perfectly with the maps of it you see in game. Water Hazard doesn't though, and it overlaps with itself and with the coast.

Everything in the top left is the coast. The bottom right corner is Ravenholm. Right of the coast is Water Hazard (Which is in the middle of the sea, apparently).

Actually, I don't think I made it. There seems to be bits of the city other than the first two chapters, which I never did.

After checking through a few CDs I found the back-ups I made of those maps. They're now on my PC again. I have maps of everywhere up to Nova Prospekt (I never finished that one). I'll see what size I can get them down to and try uploading them.

What in-game map? You mean the one on the wall that the rebel shows you? I could never understand that one.

I only understood it fine after you get the gun on the airboat.

I can look navigate the maps and remember the areas perfectly. Maybe that's just because I took them, or because I've played the game far too much.
