The latest PCG US is pretty awesome, empire at war demo on the dvd.. also a ton of hands on stuff for oblivion and medieval 2 total war I love this mag.

Quake 4 was a keeper.

So was Civ 4, though it got old. Fast.

But yeah, BF2 is an amazing game, it's just that...

The idiots ruin it.

I had a dream where a really old friend got me Battlefield 2: Special Forces. It must be a sign to get BF2 and BF2: SF.
It is a great game, but you can only borrow a game for so long.

Well, they get it because they have the most noisy community, but that's ok. Not really a lot of competition, with the exception of CoD2 possibly. FEAR was pretty good, but was a little too demanding compared to the visuals they delivered. Plus, trends are going to be that games without lasting MP are going to lose out in goty competitions.

All in all I guess bf2 wins in a pretty slow year for gaming.

In theory, BF2 is one of the greatest games of all time. But once you get on a public server it is nothing like it should be. Just a bunch of people doing really stupid things.

Nah. FEAR is a blast, but not nearly as good as other games I've played, and it gets old very fast (ultra-repetitive environments and a relatively low difficulty level). On the other hand, I have something like 140 hours of gameplay on BF2 alone, nevermind SF... BF2 gets my vote.

FEAR didn't deserve it, and neither did BF2. Meh, was a crap year for games all round.

It was a pretty bad year for gaming, but I'm glad FEAR and BF2 were top 2.

Those were deserving IMHO.

2006 is going to be the year to continue upon that. TONS of great releases are going to happen this year.

Its a shame the PCG UK is pretty pathetic at the moment. They are writing previews which are like 3 months old. It has been 2months and yet I haven't seen their ES: OB preview yet. My best PC mag at the moment is PCZONE

I preferred San Andreas and Guild Wars, I have to say I didn't like BF2 at all

San Andreas did more bad than good, it got the whole video game industry in a pile of shit when it comes to ratings and everything. Not only that but it started a chain of incredibly shit urban themed games for all those little wannabe gangsta kids (little ****ers they are).

Resident Evil 4 deserved it, for the fact it pwned so much that it didn't matter at all if it wasn't on the pc. BF2 was good, but my computer can't handle it well anymore

wtf BF2 lol, good game.. but come on. Imo its not fair atall to include mp, sp, rts , mmo, etc.. there should be a goty per catagory, and then yes BF2 winning the mp goty catagory.
