You do understand that Portal won't be out for nearly a year? Starting a site for it that early (as it's not a very prominent title) is essentially suicide, if there's even demand for a Portal-only mapping site in the first place.

Try starting off as a Narbacular Drop mapping community. It uses Hammer anyway so when you go from ND-Portal it shouldn't be that hard except to include the new things that come with Portal.

i tried making ND maps but the game was too damn buggy and the editor wasn't very friendly
what's the editor for portal?
