Problem with disappearing bodies

Hi all guys! Well, I've got a problem with the disappearing bodies. Whenever I'll kill anything living thing in HL2, it disappears. Strange thing is, it don't happens when I'm using gravity gun (the blue one). I got geforce fx 5200 (yes, i know it sucks), 512 ram ddr, and a celeron 2,8 ghz. You got any ideas?
 
it does that to save performance - your set up would be under alot of pressure if you had to keep rendering the ragdolls
the better your computer the more it can handle - mine can take up to 8 ragdolls and disappears anything over that

so its hardly a problem - if anything its a good thing as it means you play the game better and smoother
 
Well, ok, but can i do something to make them stop disappear? I don't know, i forced the game already to use dx 7.0 - didn't help, tried to lower the resolution and detail of the game - doesn't work.

Oh and i'd really like to look at these f*****n Combines die - why do i kill them then? They just disappear. I'd like to see the "expression" on this Combine face and shot a few more bullets at him :D

And yes, the game runs smooooooth :D
 
FYI in DX7 mode objects and possibly bodies disapear if you get too far away from em. Not sure if bodies come back into view like world objects though.
 
The objects and bodies DO disappear when i go too far from them. But in DX7 and in DX8 mode, even if I'm standing right next to enemy and kill him, he just disappears. I know i didn't had this problem few months ago - before the reinstall. The bodies worked good.
 
You playing with the blue grav gun? It causes a number of glitches:
disappearing bodies
clones ally corpses
can't pick up rollermine/turret
guns disappear when user dies
crashes when picking up vehicles
turrets perma-die when knocked over
 
Thx riomhaire! I started playing new game without blue gravgun, and everything works PERFECT! Now i know cheating doesn't pay :p

Not really Garry newman fixed that bug in garrys mod 7. I think all you gotta do is take the physgun from his game and impliment it and all will be fine

Yeah, we're talking about HL2 not f*cking Garry's Mod.
