Question about the ATI voucher key ?

Hi,
if someone get my key on the ATI voucher AFTER i used it in steam, is it possible that he gets my account or something like that or is the key useless ?
(sorry for my bad english, i hope you understand what i mean)!

I believe that after you enter the cd key and it ties it to your account, then it is permanently associated to your account alone. So if someone picks it out of the garbage, it wont work if they tried to enter it.
