questionable aliens

:imu: hey, what's up? have you ever noticed that in half-life, some aliens attack eachother? like for example, head crabs get smashed by Bullsquids, do you think aliens have different groups? if yeah, based on what? we know that Bullsquids are more powerful than the headcrabs, but is it based on power or inteligence? oh and one more thing, talking about inteligence, i was shocked when i saw this webpage about nihilanth talking about g-man at the end of the game, notice the parts in italics:

They don't have different groups, its just a case of wildlife vs wildlife. Do Lions attack Gazelles? Yes.

Alien Slaves are being controlled by the Nihilanth: they're like workers and soldiers, not wildlife. Bullsquids just attack everything. Houndeyes are cute.

As for Nihilanth's sayings, the short answer is NOBODY KNOWS. Personally I wouldn't mind having yet another massive discussion on this subject...

Please do keep one subject to one thread. Make a thread about alien wildlife, or about the nihilanth. Both just gets confusing.

I don't know why Samon closed the thread, and personally I don't agree with his decision. Just because something has been discussed before doesn't mean it should never be discussed again. It might, however, be an idea to discuss one thing per thread, and not make the subject 'oh what do you think about HL3 and who's Nihilanth and also what's your opinion on a movie?'

The policy here is that if you have a problem, you PM the mods. Ask the mod involved if you have issues with your thread being closed.

What I find interesting about the aliens faces are in the same configuration as Earths animals eyes over nose, nose over mouth this means that Xen has the same atmosphere as Earth when it does not, it makes no scientific sense, some of them don’t have noses but still have eyes and mouths which still doesn’t make sense.

well, some animals, even on earth, don't have mouth, but it doesn't mean they are weird... that much.
the problem is that some think breathing or eating is only done with the mouth, worms breath with their skin for example...
