questions about the hydra

***Spoiler, but its no longer in the game

since its no longer in the game i think it would be OK to talk about it, did anyone esle know there were actually 3 different looking hydras?
1.the one in the screenshot with the pointed end, named hydra
2.same color, but the end had five or six short tentacles on the end with green balls on the end of them, named hydra seer
3.same color, the end of this one had a suction cup-like thing and was named the hydra smacker

Hopefully i wont get banned since its no longer in the game and its just some neat info.

Why on earth would I want to have the Hydra back again? As far as I'm concerned, the fewer Xen enemies I encounter, the better.

This is Half Life 2, not Half Life rehashed. If they cut the hydra for something cooler, then more power to them.

With the hydra, it's been there, done that, got the crowbar.

Um, the hydra wasn't in Half-Life 1.

They've removed quite a few things, including the Hydra :O It should appear in Half-Life 3 though.

So we may still see it eventually. Oh, and I believe that the above quote may make tommyz's spoilers against the rules, since he's giving away a part of HL3. If they don't change it, that is.

meh, if taking out the hydra was the reason pcgamer gave HL2 a 9.8 instead of a 10 then i might worry. hell the game will prolly still make us stupid from the sheer coolness it will force down our eyeballs.

Uh, for the record i think the gave it a 9.8 because it didnt have its own multiplayer.

Too bad it´s out. I doubt it´ll seriously affect the game, but it was a killer moment seeing that thing spear that combine in the videos.
