quick question

hey i'm new to this forum... and i dont have hl 2 but im going to buy it, i wanna know if my system can run it good... my specs are:

windows xp pro
1024mb ram
amd athlon 64 3400+ 2.2ghz
geforce 6200 256mb ram


oh and do i have to have steam to play it? thanks!

Yep, your computer should run it pretty good.

If you have the 64bit version of Pro you could run HL2 in 64 bit mode, by the way..

And yes, you will definitely need steam to play it. No other way (legally..that is)

Yea your spec is better than mine and my PC can rock HL2 pretty darn good.

Yea you need Steam to play it. It come on the HL2 disk though so don't wory bout it. Ppl moan about it but i don't even notice it. It's all cool.

That depends on your connection speed, any MB limits your ISP may have on your connection plan, and if you have a credit card or not (and are willing to use it on the net).

Also- some people just like to have a disk to hold in their hands. It feels good to be able to touch and hold something you payed good money for.
