Does anyone know if there is a way of enabling ragdolls to react realisticly with the enviroment in HL2 single player? When you find a dead body in the game, if you drop items on to it, they land accordingly and react to the bodies shape. But when you kill and enemy, the item simply passes through them. And also, it seems that killed bodies don't stack/collide when laying on top of each other. Is there anyway to enable this permenantly? By either changing something in the config or adding a command to the Steam "Set launch options" properties? I think i found an ingame console command, that being "cl_ragdoll_collide 1", but i haven't tried it. Is there anyway to make that permenent rather than enabling each time? Thanks

Put it in your config file and it should do it automatically.

yeah but that would cause huge lag wouldnt it? im pretty sure thats a bad and uneccercery idea.

It would only ever cause lag if multiple bodies were purposely piled atop each other right? I mean, an arm resting on the chest of another fallen bodies' chest is hardly going to use up much processing power. Thats all I really want it for. If it does slow down the game too noticebly I'll remove it. Thanks for the help though.

im fairly sure if you have lots of bodys it will cause major lag. wait for angry lawyer or keats or someone to post though.

on the full list of console commands the note about cl_ragdoll_collide suggests the performance hit is negligible
