Random crashes...

Is anyone else getting these very random crashes in the middle of the game. No warning of lag or jumping and it just crashes, mostly at the start of a new CP round or sometimes just when it gets good, if anyone has a fix can they tell me please... Or tell valve, so they can do a proper fix.

After you get some more information towards these crashes, there is a "Report Bug" Feature in TF2.

Are you using dx8?

Cause im getting these kind of unexpected/ no reason crashes, and Im beginning to blame dx8 for not being too tf2-friendly.

I have no idea if im using DX8 but I'm sure I'm not, I'm gona go report the bug to valve...Get this sorted out.

In order to find out what dx your using, check through Options->Video->Advanced and it should tell you in there, if I'm not mistaken.

True, but I figured we could find out what TF2 is using. It will tell him what DX his card is, but going into the options there, will tell him what TF2 is set to.

Valve won't be able to do a thing until you include some more info, so you may as well see this thread through first...

Have you tried playing after that last big patch was released? The one from what, 2 days ago?
