Ravenholm - The Lost Chapter

I'll give it a shot. I really wish Fileplanet would **** off up its own ass.

Yeah, unfortunatly it`s the only way to get it.

I guess the author couldn`t resist their "we`ll make it Level Of The Week for exclusivity" deal.

Yeah fileplanet does pretty much suck. As for this mod, I am not sure. Will have to give it a go.

A ****ing pop up crashed the internets, and me waiting in the que went with it - I was 2 minutes away from download. I'm going to petition to remove Fileplanet from the internet and replace it with "moved for explicit material."

****.

EDIT: Played it. It is fun. But it's pretty bland and the ending is...well, a slap in the face. Level design needs improvement, Zombie gameplay definately needs the wheel turning again but....it is fun.ish.

I played it. It's not terrible, and I didn't feel like it was a waste of time. Well, except the first room where I jumped around the room for five minutes before being able to see the rather discretely hidden clue to where the hell the crowbar was at. After that it's pretty standard Ravenholm style fare. Not a patch on Valve's Ravenholm work, especially as the traps are sparse and not nearly as ingenious. So it's pretty much pure zombie killing. If you were a fan of the Ravenholm levels, you'll probably get more of a kick out of this than I did.

As for the story in the map... well, I suppose I shouldn't moan too much considering that there is a story in there full stop, but it's well. It's trying to say something but I'm not sure what is happening and it's sparsely sprinkled over the map. There is some functional voice acting in there which is quite commendable. It's not oscar worthy, and it probably would struggle to get those responsible into a School-Play, but it's there and it's not terrible. Beats stringing together phrases from Half-Life 2 into some kind of script anyway :P The story sequences add a little bit of breathing space, or would do if the zombie battles were a little more hectic, but you inevitably break up your time trying to figure out some such puzzle and route to proceed as well...

I'm pleased that there was an attempt at a story. But there is absolutely no clue to what is going on, who is who and...well, its pretty forgettable, but I felt the map played out as though you were expected to know what was happening.
