This is what i think. Gman is a goverment agent, he helps Gordan Freeman along the way. he tells the ressistant not to tell anyone, just like the Rosswell incident were the Goverment told the witness not to tell anyone this is top secret conspiracy. if u have your own opinion dont start shouting at me. everyone has their own opinions... just post them here.

He wasn't hiding anything from you. Do you know how much cable TV costs in City 17? He turned the TV off because he was trying to save on his electricity bill.

In addition to the fact that most people you encounter assume you already know enough, or give you only enough information to whet your appetite, the reason they don't mention the G-man to you is probably because they've got some real secrets regarding him and their ties to him. Case in point, in Breen's office when Alyx is shocked by Breen telling you that you were up for auction, and Alyx vehemently tries to deny it. That's not really something you'd want to be told anyway, is it? "Welcome back Gordon, we bought you for three days to help us stop the big bad evil and then back into stasis you go."

Don't worry, we will learn the G-man's connections to other players in the game soon enough, throughout the episodes.

Yes, Gman is not a government agent. No, Odessa can quite obviously see him, the scientists in Black Mesa can quite obviously see him, the drill intructor in Opposing Force can quite obviously see him. And how the hell can Alyx and Gordon be together?

I doubt much of the resistance even knows the Gman exists let alone talks to him or anything =/ Im sure some of the more Main characters like Breen, Kliener, Eli (or I guess anyone who was at black mesa) might know about him or have talked to or seen him at one point or another. I mean not everyone can keep a secret, do you realize the things that would happen if everyone knew him?

Im sure there are resistance members who know of him and have possibly talked with him like we see Odessa doing in that second picture, but what im saying is I doubt the ENTIRE resistance knows about the gman, just a few people here and there.

The Vorts are linked to the G-Man, they talk about how Gordon and the Vorts are of the same master - and the same purpose.

The Rebels would probably to some degree know of G-Man, atleast only the high ups - but only if the idea that the rebels rented Gordon out is stable...
