Restart Steam (Stupid Thread)

It's a stupid question, but it did say go nuts. Besides, it'll blow some of your time while we wait.

Will Steam need to be closed and reopened when HL2 is unlocked, or will a happy little thing pop up when the clock strikes at Valve, saying it's decrypting?

You always have to restart Steam to get any updates, mang.

I know, that's exactly what I thought. But there is always hope...

i thought you only had to restart steam to get steam updates...not game updates. If you were to, for example, decide to finally download Codename: Gordon right now, and then wanted to play it, you would not have to restart steam. It just works. I think HL2 will just move down from "coming soon" to "my games" all on its own. maybe we'll get one of those Steam IMs.
