(But that was 3 years ago)

I feel so bad about my GCSE's, i wish i had tried harder....I wish i had tried. But i aimed to get what got me into collage. That was 5 A-C's. I ended up with 9 C's and 1 B :p.
That was one year ago today :)

My GCSE years were messed up. We were only a small private school, so we couldn't afford much. That includes teachers.

In year ten we didn't have an art teach, and for the first month of year eleven we didn't have one either.

In year eleven, we didn't have a science teacher. For 2 months in year ten we didn't have a French teacher.

We had an English teacher...She was a good one to.

We did a two year geography course in 1 year. (The teacher wouldn't let me do the higher paper, so i ended up getting the maximum mark on foundation)

We didn't have a science teacher in year eleven.

Maths, was ok i suppose, although to be honest, i messed around in that a lot. Oh the fun i had in maths.

Food was great fun. Man i loved those lessons.

I did do Design and technology, but i had to give that up because, near the end of my course my file went missing. I got a lot of crap of the teacher for losing it and it turned out the head teacher had it in his office. Which i found more than a little annoying.

I did computing as well, thats what i got a B in. That was pretty boring to be honest. We did that out of school, so it went well...

By the way, when i said we didn't have a teacher, i mean that we had someone to watch over us, but they never did anything. None of them were qualified to teach the subjects...some of them weren't even teachers. They just gave us the syllabus and told us to work it out...which was awfully nice of them :)

Having said what i have said though....I in no way blame the school for my results. Obviously the conditions weren't perfect, but I'm not stupid, i could have got better results. I was supposed to get 11 A - B's...which quite obviously i didn't.

So yeah, thats my little (When i say little...i mean large) rant out of the way.

Oh and you people who will be moving onto collage in September. Please please don't let collage go to your head. I never even noticed until it was to late, i had messed around the whole year ruining my chances at decent grades.

What the hell? You couldn't get into College with 9 Cs and a B?

I thought Private schools were meant to be amazing, with great teaching standards. And with what you said, you are right to blame the school for those results, despite the fact that I think they are good results. Without competent teachers to explain things, you can't expect to get fantastic results. Sure, you could've done all the work yourself but then what would have been the point in the school?

I did get into collage :)

Its a christian school and because of that doesnt recieve any outside help, because people dont want to offend the Muslim community. Private schools are only amazing if there are a lot of people going. or if the people going are rich. The school, didnt have high fees. Only a couple of thousand pounds. Many people didnt pay though, because they couldnt afford it.

There were a lot of things going on, which didnt allow the school to grow. Its shame, the teaching we had was excelent though. I dont want to make the school look bad, it really was a good place.

A in media
B in speaking and listening, english literature, ict
C in history, english language, systems, maths, science

happy isn't the word.....i'm EXTATIC :D

Well, I'm proud of my Graphics mark, which has nothing to do with my teacher, and everything to do with me. In short, he taught us absolutly nothing over the two years... I spent two years doing totally nothing. Heres an example of a typical Graphics lesson:

Firstly, me and Lauren would sneak off to art 3d and chat to our Art teacher, who we liked, then we'd run up and down the corridors, ushing doors open, and generally annoying the other classes, when this lost it's limited appeal, we'd go back and chat to friends, sitting on tables, and sometimes sitting on chairs on tables.... after that I'd get a bit bored, and tape as many tools as I could find to the classroom walls with duct tape... then the pips would go, and lesson over... and despite all that, I pulled my socks up and got a B :)

Oh yeah, and my mark is even more suprising, since I spent the practical exam covering a broom in double-sided tape... and hurling it at the ceiling, trying to get it to stick :)

It wasn't a bad place...they were trying their best under the circumstances, unfortunately i didn't. But going there taught me a lot. Not just what was in the curriculum.

Ive been out of school for a while, Summers almost over, I have to go back next week =(

How did you get a D in food?

He ate his coursework?

Oh man, that joke was sour, i think im gonna throw up.

Hmm, ok i think i should stop posting to give badger a chance to catch up.

I think I was lucky, I went to a really good secondary school and a really good College. AND they were both very close to each other.

Laurence Jackson School
Prior Pursglove College.

EDIT: What I'm trying to say is that you can get good education for free.

Also, I'm quite drunk. I'm 19 so it's allowed. Woo.

Erm, all of them.

It's Double Award Science, so you do twice as much science a week, and you get two grades.

I wasn't actually at school for about a year and I didn't get that much work sent home, apart from maths and science, where the teachers were really helpful, well when I say science I mean chemistry because my physics and biology teachers weren't as helpful. I'll admit I could have done alot better. I dropped a whole load of subjects to try to catch up though.
I got a B in maths, a CC in science and a C in RE.
I'm also retaking my English language next year because I din't actually have the anthology in the exam and had never read it before.
