save game and reinstalling the game

Hello,

I have just bought half life and am gonna install it,
but after registration... if I have to reinstall my computer? Am i forced to buy another copy of half-life? how does the activation work?

And where can i find the saved games?

You can use the same copy.
Just log in to the Steam account you signed up with.
Activation is online.

The saved games are in steamapps/half life 2/hl2/save I think.
