Solar panels that work at night!

In "The great global warming swindle" they sayd that solar panels would be really really bad for third world country's for alot of reasons, which i cant think of now, and because those absolute pussys forced the documentary of the interwebs i cant reason my point : / arg.
Solar panels are still cool though : )

It's not a lunar panel, it's an infrared absorbing panel. Because most objects have a thermal mass, they continue to radiate energy after the sun is gone. This panel basically sucks up the heat radiation output of cooling bodies. It sounds like a very inefficient way to get energy.

Sounds like it will destroy all living things, depriving everything of it's heat. Just you wait, theres going to be a malfucntion, and BLAM is starts sucking in all of our body and planetary heat.

DUN DUN DUNNNN

Maybe, if someone will be dumb enough to make and turn on an Infinite Improbability Drive.

This is actually the same engineering problem that happens with solar panels. The energy density (solar or infrared) just isn't very high for that kind of radiant source, so you have to make it by covering lots of area.

Why don't we just suspend a huge solar array just outside the atmosphere, with lights being powered by said solar arrays lighting the earth. Power will be sent down by a gigantic space elevator near the equator, hundreds of thousands of power lines rolling down.
Real sunlight is for pussies.

Imagine the amount of power from solar panels surrounding the sun, or hell the power of the sun itself.

Why not just have energy stores for night usage (gathered from the panels during daylight hours), and only use direct solar power during the day?

Still, I like the idea of "beaming" down solar energy from a space station equipped with panels, to energy stores on Earth.

We should mine space stuff. like an asteroid and start using its minerals in our drinking water and it turns out to have a dormant virus that suddenly awakens and starts turning us into alien zombies.

And on the flip side, I've got solar panels that don't work during the day or night.
