Well, i dont fully understand this, what i understand so far is, the bigger the spike, the closer, but i dont know what the color on the spike means, and the red and moving orange triangles when you look at where the noises came from, explain!

Lol.

Grey triangles are sounds created by teammates, and yellow ones are sounds created by enemies just moving. Red is by enemies firing.

The diff collor spikes just indicate the strength of the sound (from your position).

an easier *yet harder* way of tracking inviso's from Thermal.

I like it because it lets you know if it's safe to run out of the room, if the battle raging is too much for you to handle, if there's some brat behind the dock doors waiting for it to be opened.

Much more versatile if you ask me.

And it you can use it to see if there are any inviso's in the ladder, so you don't waste grenades on them.

I just use Thermal, becuase my rocket kills just about anything O_O

I use both. If I want to be cautious, I use SWT. If I want to find a cloaker, on comes the Thermal.

Both are implants that are borrowed from Planetside (Whether unintentionally or not) and I got so used to using them in that game, that it makes it all second nature.

lol, sorry dude, but you have it all wrong. grey represents bullet impacts regardless as to whether it is friendly or not. red represents enemy footsteps. yellow represents enemy firing.

Either way, i've still gotten really good at pinpointing enemies like this.

Reason I thought yellow was footsteps, was because once, whilst rushing the docks (I was a stealther) I ran into another stealther guarding the docks, and he started strafing circles around me and unloaded his shotgun into my face. So I turned on my SWT, followed the yellow triangles, and shot one triangle ahead, and killed him.

Hehe, I love it when an enemy stealther thinks you can't see him :E

Then how come i see red stationary, and yellow move?

the yellow isn't actually 'moving'. the rapid fire sounds from a moving player's machine gun makes it appear that way.

one red triangle represents one footstep. if you look closer, you'll usually see a sequence of red triangles as your enemy steps around. these triangles are also closer to the ground by the players feet.

Yellow means the sound is distant, red means the sound is close.
How do I know? There was no gunfire yet still many little yellow triangles gliding along the ground on the outside of the wall. When I got to a door, the triangles started being generated as red.

Almost never use that implant. And I also don't need thermal for inviso's

Yeah... I yell at people when a stealth guy walks past about 5 of my teammates and then katana's someone while they wondered what happened.
