This is me right now:
I cannot believe how fast I just downloaded HL2DM. This is unbelieveable. Steam is fantastic and anyone who says otherwise isn't using it right!

I was convinced I was the only one who loved Steam. I have never once had a problem with it. And loading it up always makes me feel funny inside because I know I am loading up one of two masterpieces.

Nor do i hate it or love, it i would never come here singing and dancing about it. Occassionally my favourites disappear, the monitor will crash, and friends never works. Everything else works fine for me, so i'm not going out my way to praise it. It does its job fine. Why are you downloading HL2DM now this late?

Also its the huge amount of bandwidth valve have on their servers and your connection which dictate that speed. Steam just 'delivers' it.

Steam rocks, no doubt about it.
If only VALVe would expand a little on payment options it would be near flawless.
I'm definately doing as much of my game-shopping as possible through steam.

certainly Steam as come a long ways from when it was first launched.
i remember how buggy it was when i first tried to use it.. but i stuck with it and haven't experienced any problems since October 2004.

side note: its also interesting to see other developers choosing to release their games on Steam..obviously we will see more of this sorta thing from other developers whether its via Steam or other platforms.

I love steam, can't see the problems people are having with it, it prevents piracy, keeps games up to date and the best thing in the world, it lets the developers release game content like The Lost Coast and DOD:S with relative ease.

There was never accomplishments for Gmod, it is fun to play around with, I made a dumpster a race car, thrusters on it, as well with the tractor wheels. It was fast. :naughty:

hmm..for people having problems with Steam nowadays.. well.. try the obvious things first before posting for help.

restart Steam.
try deleting that clientblob.dll file (its worked for me in the past a few times)
make sure whatever mod ur installing/installed is in the correct folders

So you had a problem. Welcome to PC gaming, where there are always issues with software/hardware interaction and compatibility. This does not mean that Steam is crap. This is the way of the world. Get used to it.
