Hi Guys, i have a few questions for ya

im thinking of getting the GOLD edition from STEAM when its relased for purchase tomorrow,

1. I have an ATi Voucher, does that mean i just pay like 40 dollars extra for the Gold since i already have the bronze?, if so GREAT

2. i live in the UK can i get the goodies? how much estiamted shipping?

3. the collectors box, is it just whats the CE would be minus the Cd's/DVds

4. if i reformat my PC and Re-install STEAM, how do i start to get back my pruchases? putting in the CD keys yes, but what if i upgrade to GOLD how will that be recognised, through my account Eternal_Oz and then the DL will auto start?

4. Just login to your Steam account, and Steam should allow you to redownload the games.

Yep, that's the case. You can upgrade to silver for $10 and gold for $40.

You WILL have to pay shipping, but they haven't specified the amount.

I'm not entirely sure what you're asking, but you can find the contents of the Collector's Edition here.

The item's you've purchased over steam are tied to your account. If you lose your GCF files through reformatting, the games you have already bought will automatically be re-downloaded next time you log in to your account. It's a good idea to keep a backup of your GCF files since it could take a while to download all of them again.

I just noticed the halflife2.net news page has an updated list that comes with the steam gold package (so now your 3rd question makes more sense ). Yeah, I'd imagine that the collector's box is just an empty version of the retail CE box.

I don't think anyone's said about this yet, but I have to ask... the extras in the Gold package don't have *'s next to them (like CS:S). Doesn't this imply that they'll be sent out with the pre-orders?

I wouldn't have thought so, especially as the Strategy guide and soundtrack might give a couple of plot points away (!) but it's something to think about for a few seconds... and now stop

yer, thats what i thought, i should think so, i dont think the hat is gonna give much away, although the strategy guide might... mmm better not read that until i get hl2
