Steering wheel and pedals controller for HL2

Do you think HL2 will support steering wheels and pedals like most racing games for HL2's vehicles?

If you think about it, someone could easily make a mod that's a car racing game. I think being able to use a steering wheel and pedals would add a lot to the game. I'd buy a wheel jst for HL2.

Maybe this is a good question for Gabe?

I don't think it will, but then again I have no facts whatsoever to base my opinion on.

It's possible that it will, if what you mean is support for special external controllers. Theoretically, you should be able to bind the other controller inputs to the secondary control.

If the steering controls work the way I expect, however, I think a steering wheel would be a bad idea, because you still have to control the mouse to aim your weapons even while you steer with your left hand on the strafe keys.

One hand on the wheel and on hand on the stick. er... I mean mouse.

Cool!!! One hand with wheel another with mouse to control the weapon, then a leg on the pedal , this seems really realistic , like in a real combat car. I'm just imagining...
