Strange Problem In Game

This is my first post so I am sorry if it's in the wrong place and all that. It's just that this problems is getting a bit boring.

When im playing the game everything is running fine, but every minute (give or take) the weapon selection thing comes up at the top of the screen as if I had press '1'.

Im not sure why it's doing it. It's not my keyboard (as there would be a lot of 1's in this post I guess).

As you can imagine it's a bit annoying when your in the middle of a fire fight and you suddenly whip out your crowbar.

Im not 100% sure what you mean. I brought my copy from a store so I guess it would be a retail version.

You sure you haven't accidentally rebound one of the mouse buttons? Try resetting the keys to default settings (from the options menu) and see what happens. I don't recall hearing of this particular problem before.

does your mouse have a wheel? because the mouse wheel changes weapon, u may be accidently knocking it and chaging weapons???

Actually this seems logical. stay with me on this. my mouse wheel has the annoying tendency to turn itself only about a 1/2 of a mm because of the spring inside. It only happens sometimes tho and after if i scroll. i guess u could check that out. Sorry if that doesn't help.
