and there reply

Hello,

You will need to pay any local taxes that may be applied to online purchases. This will be calculated prior to check out.

There will be no physical hard copies distributed for Steam Package purchases. The games will be download only, however you can re-download the games at anytime. The downloaded copies are no different then the retail games, you will need to be able to access the internet to register the retail games as well. You can play when you are offline when steam is in offline mode.

You are welcome to back up the c:/program files/Valve/Steam folder at any time, however you may need quite a few CD's or a DVD burner as Half-Life 2 alone is nearly 3.5 gigs.

Thanks for there help :)

there is so many threads on this it makes my nostrils leak with pancake syrup... and its not the good kind either

To be fair, Steam isn't at all clear about this. Why it can't just say 'it'll cost you XXX in local currency' is beyond me.

Yeah it's freaking harsh not only do you have to read multiple lines, you also have to convert the currency yourself oh noes.

Price: 89,95$
Tax: 29,95$
Shipping and Handling: 29,95$
Total: 149,85$

I must admit that it can be very hard to understand, especially IF YOU CANT READ.

Note: Prices are estimates.

Don't be an idiot. If you have to spend hours reading HL2 fansite forums to understand what tax (if any) you're paying, and whether you receive a real disc in the mail or not, that says that Valve aren't doing a great job of explaining it all to Johnny Consumer.

ive seen this on other forums but i havent seen any confermation if you have to pay until now about the tax.

btw whos the idiot me for asking or frisker, or danimal? and look at this post it conferms it
