That AI is only used in one section of the game. A section, I might add, that has a total of naught explosive items populating it.Okey, so I tested the AI in Gmod the other day...
I spawned a metrocop with a crowbar. I hold an exploding barrel infront of me. The metrocop starts running towards me. He couldn't get pass the exploding barrel, so he hits it with the crowbar. BOOM! Dead...

We know two things so far, IIRC - one, Combine can throw grenades back at you, and two, they can use RPGs. That's about all the trailers have revealed though.Hopefully in Episode 2, we'll some more advanced AI or ... we can hide behind pieces of Bark!

I remember an awesome Gmod fight that riomhaire or someone else once made versus rebels and combine. The combine dudes with shotties went upfront, the smg guys took cover behind the makeshift obstructions and covered them while the OSPIR combine covered long-range. Awesome.

I've heard that that problem was fixed in an update. Unsure though.I've never had a problem with the AI *Except for holding a can in front of your face so they won't shoot at you...*. I enjoy the AI, and have fun slaughtering them!![]()
I remember starting a NPC battle in Sand Traps.I noticed many things I never knew there.In the end,only two Rebels and one Myrmidont were left.The Rebels stood behind a big rock,shooting at the Myrmidont.Then the Myrmidont ran around the rock and tried to kill the Rebels.They ran inside a house and started shooting down the Myrmidont.
Pretty nice AI,eh?
