The blue manipulator...

Who gives it to us? I gon't get it. They take our weapons then somehow we get the blue manipulator. Does it just appears like that for no reason? Someone care to explain to a french guy that can't write good english?

it is a malfunction with the gravity gun tech and the confiscation machine that turns it into a much more powerful grav gun

yeah the electricity or whatever from the confiscation machine messes it all up...

the gravity gun is the only one that had the weird alien orangy stuff in it, and since the gun destruction machine is from alien origin I would say there was a short circut that resulted in an fortunate change of the orangy material (into blue) that allowed you to still survive against the combine soldiers and finish the game, simple science really.

It also supercharged your hazard suit, letting it get 200 armor and heal your player from energy consoles too.

you forgot another thing about the blue one

It kicked major A$$, I ended up rushing soldiers with one of their own as a meat sheild then chucked him knocking the others down .. w00t I love that gun... I would marry it if alyx wasn't so friggen hot.

I think the gravity gun and the weapon thing must work on similar technologies which caused the problem as the guy said above... further proof is that it doesn't just get given an energy boost but also gains the abilities of the other system; it can manipulate organic matter while it removes and destroys any weapons.
