Who do we think is gona win this war, combine or the rebels...

The rebels will not "win" against the combine, only drive them from earth. HUmans couldn't possibly defeat the entire empire. Nevertheless, reffering to the battle on earth, I voted rebels (although whats left of earth isn't exactly the most hospitable of places).

I vote Combine, since Valve aren't exactly known for happy endings, and I can't see the rebels surviving against a Combine invasion force like the one that originally took over Earth.

"It'll be the seven-hour war all over again, except this time we won't last seven minutes."

The headcrabs stand a chance thought, in ep1 they started attacking the combine OW.

thats true, but yeh thats wat i ment but iv got a feeling something will arise and destroy the empire, something not on earth, something....Xen

NAHILANTH ZOMBIE!

"Free *GASP* man..."

I agree though. We've established that there are other planets that the combine are attacking, maybe a force that is of peace (Wouldn't that be cute...) will come and seves us at teh lazt minute. :D

Combine winning would really suck as an ending.
Rebels winning is impossible, but they can shut the Combine off or something. I voted rebels.

i think they would have to pull something just a bit unbelievable if they (gordo and the rebels) manage to both stop combine tunneling through to our universe and get rid of ALL the combine forces ALL over the planet. i voted combine.

p.s. if i ever create a band im calling it 'gordo and the rebels'

Rebels kick the Combine out of Earth for good. Combine being defeated on their own turf is impossible, and Rebels being defeated and humanity being destroyed is too depressing.

Rebels.

Like the Vort said in the HL2 preview, "This is more than any one can bare, but we will persevere..."

Realistically, the Combine forces would eventually win against humanity. Not whats on earth currently (which is basically a baby sitting service), I am talking about the whole gamut.

Bacons, the word is gamut. :)

Also, just give up, rebels. You're not going to win this one. You're going to fight, and you're going to die. Surrender Gordon Freeman and maybe the Universal Union will let you back into their good graces.

Otherwise you're going to get your internal organs liquified and sucked out by a Combine Advisor.

Well, the combine may end up "winning" regardless, as earth seems in a ****ed up state. The rebels are gonna have a hard time repairing ecosystems, cleaning up the atmosphere, not to mention all the natural resources gone, etc.

Humanity seals the Combine from Earth.

but of course that leaves the sticky problem of all the combine forces on earth. unless they have the gman deus ex machina the plot or something of that nature, which would suck.

imo it needs to end where gordon strikes a massive blow to the combine then the gman (or....DUN DUN DUN..... his replacement) seals him away again for humanity to battle the rest of the combine forces on earth. then we find out what happened in hl3 when the gman recieves the best offer for gordons services.

haha, i laughed hard. if the humans could do just one thing of preventing combine in, which is to seal the portals in the sky via an anti portal storm device, they win..

Spontaneously explode.

Its insane to think the rebels have a chance, Gman said that som1 has hired him .But he did escape. But alyx is in the hands of gman , so who knows what hes going to do.

I still don't recall anyone saying stuff about hiring Gordon back -- they all seem surprised he's back around at all.

Is it me or do i remember reading about a 3rd party being involved.

Thrid parteh=Combines Rival forces thingy.

Gman is going to win. With a MORTAAAAAAAAAAR

the advisors would tell their wives. then EVERYONE would know about it.

The Kayzuhurkians from planet '75 will rebel, yes.

I get the feeling Valve will hint at other rebellions, but we will never see them.

who says alyx is in the hands of Gman, valve is seriously unpredictable these days
