The computer won't even pass POST

Before my computer died on me (not even BSOD),
I saw my e6600 hitting 50-59 Celsius on nTune monitor.

I tried to restart my computer (for a different reason) and then puffff,
No hardware booting.

Since then, when I'm trying to boot: the powers on, lights, fans rotating for 3-6 seconds and then the computer turns off.

Any idea where to start???
I can't fall asleep without my computer humming in the background ;(

A CPU can run at 59C perfectly fine even if that is a bit warm. If it hit something like 70 C then the PC should auto shut down. Depending on the chip ~85C is when they can burn.

Try turning the power supply switch off for ~20 seconds (you'll hear a quiet zap sound from the PSU) and then turn it back on.

Heatsink level on the CPU surface?

GPU working? Try in another PC or try a different GPU in your PC.

Maybe unplug the power cords inside your PC and then connect them to the devices again. Could be something is shorting and your PSU turns off.

Your motherboard might be fried if none of the above works.

I agree with everything asus has said. I would also check to make sure that you un plug everything non essential and try turning it on. So un plug mouse/keyboard any disk drives, hard drives. Just run off the bare minumum to rule out anything interfering.

Also try another PSU as your PSU could be dying and is now unstable. Just try everything that comes to mind in order to rules out possibilities/parts and it will be easier to narrow the problem down. Keep us updated with what you try and if anything happens.

sounds like a power supply issue to me. same thing happened to me when mine died.
