I'm being annoying and bitchy and arrogant and I shouldn't be telling moderators how to do their jobs. But I made a thread ages ago and it was moved to the mod forum and I haven't heard anything since. Sorry in advance.

- Technical help threads in the HL2 (PC) forum be closed or moved to the Community Game Support forum.

- Mods re-enforce the idea of posting your technical problems in the Community Game Support forum.

- An extra mod for the HL2 (PC) section (Ennui or Samon seem most suitable)

- A sticky reminding people that the HL2 (PC) forum is not for technical problems with HL2, and that such threads go in the Community Game Support forum

- A sticky reminding people to read the walkthroughs before they post 'I'm stuck' in the HL2 (PC) forum.

Its a video game forum, not a politics forum.

Politics happens to just be a big topic amongst alot of us and i for one would most likely leave hl2.net just for them closing the politics forum. It's the one place i can debate w/ people endlessly till the cows come home!

For this very reason it should be closed, people only come to politics forum and talk shit to each other, then bring it into off-topic. They don't even care about hl2.net, like you said most would leave if politics forum got removed. I'm all for it being removed.

Debate threads are OK, depending on the subject, but the politics forum is just full of hatefull opinions and ideas, someone browsing the forum probably doesn't want to read all that, considering this is a gaming forum, most people are here to talk about games.

The fact that on several occasions shit from politics forum has shot over into off-topic is enough. I don't even go into the section, but when it goes into off-topic and people bicker about it, its just annoying, they can't even stay in the right section.

Basically I can count the occasions where someone has posted a problem, someone else has posted a link to the walkthrough and the thread starter has gone "oh yes thanks" can be counted on the fingers of a mutant octopus with like ten fingers per tentacle.

It really is annoying how many 'help me, HL2 freezes' threads clog up this forum when they should be in Community Game Support. D
