I remember when someone posted a link the HL2's new official website. I subscribed to their newsletter about 2 weeeks have yet to get anything. It takes, what, less than a minute to receive an email? Valve must be seirously involved in playtesting with EVERYONE in the whole place even the paperboy who manages websites :bounce:

Give them some time. I'm sure we'll be seeing a newsletter around the time of thier mod expo.

Well everyone who is interested in creating a mod for Halflife 2 and are near thier Headquarters in WA. can go there and look at the game and its abilities. I suppose they will be talking about the limits of the Source engine, and if its possible to do certain things with thier mod. I predict they will release some information on the HL2 SDK there as well.

lol @ the nvidia "the way its meant to be played" icon :cheese:

Take to mind that the site hasnt been updated in 2 years...

Unreal 2004 still has that "The way its meant to be played" icon. Isnt it new?

Until there is a news release, I wouldn't expect mail.

It would probably be a pretty big event to start the letter, like finishing the game, allowing them to prep some hype material.

The Mod convention is another event that might update their news page, but who knows

There has to be news in order for the newsletter to appear. I signed up for it too, the day the site went live. When they're ready to announce something, we'll get an e-mail.

Coudn't have put it better myself. There hasn't been any news released since E3, so we'll be waiting for that I think. Am still hoping against hope they're putting an edition together now :P

I know ATI is the official graphics vehicle for HL2, but didn't the demo machine at E3 2004 have a rather large nvidia logo on the side...?

Recieve, not write.
