ello,iv been looking on the web now for around a week trying to find a good pc game to buy,but so far iv come up blank. So I thought one of you guys could recommend me a game.ill give a list of games I enjoy the most so you guys know what types of games I like.
starting with my favorites:

hl1/hl2 (favorite mods are natural selection and tfc)
Wow (joind 1st with hl)
Ut04
BF2
f.e.a.r

I was trying to look for an mmo game that required a lil more skill then just clicking buttons like in you do in wow,but a game like that dosent seem to
exist..

anyone know a good game out there for me?

Depends on what you're searching for.

HL1/HL2 - Unparalleled single player experience and tons of mods to choose from.
WoW - Unparalleled rate of addiction. I dont' recommend getting this. :P
UT2004 - Kind of old but still popular, allows for a great multiplayer experience, some mods out there to dabble with.
BF2 - Quite an awesome experience if you've got the rig to run it properly. Very popular and enjoyable to play. Sometimes.
F.E.A.R. - Really don't advise getting this because the multiplayer is a bit lacking and not wildly popular. This would be mainly if you were looking for a great singleplayer game.

Hope that helps. Maybe you could post your computer specs and then that'll help a bit.

hehe,I wasent saying that those where the games I was thinking about getting, those are the games i have and that I enjoy most.

ps:the game can be of any graphical intensity,so computer specs dont matter.

Well, on the MMO front you might want to check out Guild Wars, which is still pretty point-and-click, or EVE Online which is a sci-fi space sim, much more about resources and tactics than mindless clicking.

well,I was never realy one for sci-fi space games, but ill give guild wars a look for now.
ty for fast reply

I don't know if this is any help, but I usually just go to the store and look at whats available. In fact, I will be going to the game stores this week to see what's up.

I'm waiting for Resident Evil 4. Who knows when this is actually coming out.

I would get Quake 4 so I can mod the shit out of it (slightly upgraded Doom3 engine with more weapons, monsters, and stuff to play with), but for some reason the Demo wasn't running right on my PC. (colors were ****ed up and performance was unplayable)

You can find gameplay videos of Guild Wars on YouTube.com. This way you can see what the game is like. MMORPG with no monthly fee is it's selling point.

Far Cry. See what all the hype is about!

Seriously though, when it dropped it was the pinnacle of tropical beauty realized on the PC. It is still very beautiful and lots of fun to play, despite what folks say about the AI and mutants and such. Enjoy!

I thought people liked the AI a lot in this game. But near the end it gets to be a drag, because you have to reguraly pump 2 magazines in to avrage enemies, and all your arsenal in one of the stronger guy's. In hl2 you always had the option to take the smart route, aswell as the quick reflexes one. For me Far Cry forced me to take advantage of AI bug's to even get trough a lot of the parts, which isnt really fun.

I have heard various conflicting opinions about most of the stuff in the game really. I personally loved the AI...until you got to the CryGens. Those mutants were BS. The rest of the game was unbelievable though--I even liked the indoor environments. Very pretty stuff.

Hitman Blood Money, or if you like faster games I say you should get CoD2 or have a go at Guild Wars

well,do any of you have guild wars? If so,how long did you play it for and what did you like most about it?

I still have Guild Wars and I still play it every once in a while. Last Summer I was crazy about that game. That was all that i played and i must of played it everyday for a couple of hours. I would reccomend Guild Wars, but if you want an rpg that isn't online i would recomened KOTOR 1 and 2.

I didn't care for KOTOR personally. If you want a second opinion.

I played WoW for several months and it was a really good game. I may re-activate my account down the line.. I'm waiting for a large amount of free time and for Blizzard to get the weather upgrade implemented into the game (not sure if they have already)

I can recommend Fable as a great game. Perhaps not a must-have game, but still great none-the less.

I assume you have Oblivion or didn't care for it? One of the very best games ever made, in my opinion.

yes,I do have Oblivion and I still play it,but im looking for an online game(Oblivion online would kick ass!)so I think ill buy guild wars later this week,ty to yall for helping me!!

I love you.:cat:

Mebbe not exactly what you were asking for, but you should try the shadowgrounds demo on steam. It is actually a quite good and fun game.
