Hydrogen ftw, I want to have water cars D:

Also, Sodium (Na) + water (H2O) = Painful exploshens
So it gets my vote

I thought Na + Cl caused explosions. Maybe tap water (Cl + H2O)

NaCl is table salt...

Cl and H2O is what you find in a swimming pool

Sodium (Na) only fizzes in water and is not very spectacular

Ceasium explodes though

Well you have to have a good block (1kg) or so and put it in a small container. 1 mol Na + 1 mol H2O creates like 12.2 litres of H2 (or was it 22.4?). If compressed, you will get ninja exploshens D:

Antimony (Sb). i found out this week it's used to treat some parasite infections. so it's my favorite element of the week.

1 curie = quantity of any radioactive substance in which 3.7 × 10^10 disintegrations occur each second

Ununpentium - Element 115
Interesting theread for chemist :) I like all noble gases (He,Ne,Ar,Kr,Xe,Rn,Uuo)
and actinoids (thorium, uranium, plutonium rulez). Also I'm interested in metalloids because it's part of my work...
Another chemical freaks like me here? :)

I like thermite (Even though it isnt an element :P)

Rubidium, Caesium or Francium. Just add water for fun!

Haha, I was going to say that. Either that or Strontium + Fire = Purple coolness!

Chemical freak here too. Whats your line of work?

I'd probably say Carbon, the basis for all life.

Also comes in flavours of graphite and diamond.

Cons: The carbon cycle is imbalanced by all the fossil fuels being pumped into the atmosphere D:

Barium flame is more cool :)

Chemical processing of silicon in semiconductor manufacture...

Ok I pick titanium the strongest ore known to man. Second place, plutonium (makes things go BOOM!!!) and last but not least liquid nitrogen and oxygen only because you instantly freeze stuff with that.

a kid at my school put a rather large chunk of sodium down the toilet

sp yaaa soduim

Lawrencium, the slightly radiactive substance with no known uses.

My second fav :D

I dunno why, I just like it because it's so short and is named after a dude.

Not to mention its discoverer died in my lifetime, which is pretty fecking cool.

Element eighty...good band.
mercury is pretty cool though, and it gets my vote.
AHHH MERCURY, SWEETEST OF ALL THE TRANSITION METALS.

Na + Cl reacts with an explosive spark. Just throw a hunk of Na to a container containing Cl gas.

NITROGEN IS HARDCORE!!!!!!!!!
