Hey I just downloaded the 10 day demo for WoW and I was hoping you guys could offer some advice on what class to be etc.. I don't plan on purchasing the game so I just want to maximize my fun within the 10 day limit. Any suggestions?

Make a Paladin, They can Heal do a lot of dammage. And they get a free horse when you get lvl 40, Or make a Rogue, They are the best toons in the game for mining and sneeking around because you can become invisable. You have to pay
A LOT for a horse if you are not a Paladin though

Go rogue if your just playing the trial. Rogues own at lower levels and are worthless once they hit 60. So have fun with a lower lvl rogue they are very good then.

Well, they can heal.... :P

If you want to do damage and heal, play a shaman. Paladins are a lot more defensive and as such aren't that good at throwing out damage. Don't let anyone tell you a class is gimped and should be avoided though; pick the class and race that you think is coolest. :)

I had a lot of fun with my Dwarf Hunter when I played WoW. Wolves make great pets and Ironforge and it's surroundings are a sight to behold. It doesn't take long before you can travel to Stormwind, the capital of the Human sector. In ten days you should be able to see most of the newbie sectors of Dwarven- and Human land, and you might even wanna try and reach Teldrassil. That's where the Night Elves live. Good luck exploring Azeroth!

Can you even reach lvl 40 in 10 days? As an unexperienced player I mean?

Well my Pally did a lot of dammage because he was UBER! and lvl 60 so that kinda helps. Oh yeh make your toon on the server called Lane, Best server on the game also the most full one,

Don't play a paladin or a druid. They're the slowest classes in the game.

Play CoV.

Or a shaman.

Tauran Shaman.

Paladins are the cheapest class in the game. I hate them and they hate me. Horde ftw :p

I have a Tauren Shaman, lvl 60. The amount of times i'm about to own a paladin than he/she puts up his/her shied and uses a hearthstone... It's just ****ing bullshit. -_-

Does the trial require a credit card?

That's because Shaman are overpowered and Paladins suck at pvp ;) They do so little damage that their only chance of winning is to outlast thier opponent.

*hugs Troll Shaman :)*

my 60 priest owns, make a priest

you can melt faces, oh and heal
What does everyone mean with facemelt? Is it an OMGWTFNIPPLEDBBQ spell you get at 60? (I'm 40 and oblivious.)

I thought it was a shadow spell... That shadow priests have...

It's a shadow spell - Mind Flay. It's very good.

I've melted a good few faces myself :)

Oooh. Me <3 My Mind flay together with Vampiric Embrace and my SW: Pain (all in shadowform ofc)

Warrior - Over powered...own everything. Easy to play and easy to own with. Good at any lvls. They do the most dmg and have the most hp and defense in the game. They are melee only but they can charge long distances and stun the person then use hamstring to slow them so they don't get away. They can kill most classes in just a few hits.

Druid - Difficult to play as there is a lot to learn about. Pretty good class. Very good as flag runner in CTF.

Rogue - Good at low lvls. Anything past that don't waste your time. They are out dmged by half the classes, everything breaks their stealth and they can't do enough burst dmg to kill anyone competant unless you go with a specific build. Even then you can only take out a few classes and if they are good at their class you won't win without heavy use of cooldowns which gimps you for a while.

Warlock - suck at low lvl...owns faces at high lvl. A bit difficult to get the hang of but very good.

Shaman - Balanced at everything. Very good almost over powered class. Great at PVP.

Paladin - Better at PVE. They have good defenses but sucky offense.

Priest - Good at PVP. However if you become a shadow priest and do DMG to people while in PVP...even though you can outdmg most classes they will whine that your not healing them. Even though everyone targets priests first and you can't get a heal off anyways they will still bitch at you and call you a nub.

Mage - 2nd highest dmg in the game. However lowest defense as well. These guys are pretty good until something hits them.

Hunter - One of the best PVP classes. They do a lot of dmg and can do it at range. Coupled with a pet they can really kick ass. They also have a variety of traps...namely the one that freezes is real good. They can also track humanoids and have flare to pull rogues out of stealth. With their speed buff it makes them very hard to kill unless your a warrior.

Rogue's certainly need some love. They're great to have in a group for pve though, and can maintain a high level of damage indefinitely.

I find in PVP they're very specialised - and are most useful as cloth killers/sappers and for ambushing someone who's picked up the flag.

have you only ever been killed by warriors who were 20 lvls above you with epic gear or something(slightly overexagerrated but meh)

they are extremely equipment dependant and their dmg sucks if you don't have the right gear. and it is possible for palas to get the most defense too seeing as it's not a class skill as such.

here's a suggestion ...make it simpler for us guys who rarely play to afford a mount ..jeez almost 100 pieces of gold for a mount and riding lessons ...I'm at lvl 33 and only have 18 gold and all I've been doing since lvl 29 is farm for gold/skins ..took me 2 months (play a few hours a week)

Gold starts to come alot quicker once you hit the late 30's/early 40's.

I was in the same boat at lv 33 and had enough gold at lv 42. It's been the same with all my characters.

Life's too short farm :) - just play and you'll be suprised how quick it adds up. Avoid the AH if you can -that helps save a few pennies and there's really no need to buy anything pre 60 (although buying new gear is much of the fun)

avoid the AH? that's where I make most of my cash ...sold 3 quivers last night for 1 gold each ..it just gets tiring loading up on skins, crafting then back to ironforge

I'm in kind of a rut ..havent done a quest in a long time ...dont know where to go for the biggest bang for the xp points ..I've been hanging out in Duskwood attacking the werebeasties cuz they drop at least 1 silver and yield a heavy skin 50% of the time

Nah I play a 60 rogue. Yeah they are very gear dependant but they can still 3 shot rogues with any decent weapon.

Rogues defense is dodge...well when we dodge warriors can use overpower which will hit us for around 1k-1.5k damage. Yeah...we die fast.

I consider myself a pretty skilled rogue...I can occasionally 1v1 a warrior but they are by far the hardest class for a rogue. I know pretty much every trick there is to beating a class with a rogue and rogues have to rely on their cooldowns. I even have a specific build that is hands down the best pvp build. Prep is worthless IMO. I could go on and on...but it comes down to warriors being overpowered(no pun intended) to rogues.

Horde hate Paladins because they can instantly go BING FULL HEALTH LOL which is bloody annoying. And they have like 500 ways to stop you stopping them from casting a spell. I have fun playing a druid because it's a hard and complicated class to play, and you're jack-if-all-trades-master-of-none meaning that often you find PVP like trying to attack a knive with a sponge. But, this has the advantage of making you feel really skillful when you get better and start owning 3 people on your own in PVP, and you're awesome in groups and everybody loves you, and after level 30 you will almost never ever get ganked by someone if you make a concentrated effort to get away (Nature's Grasp + War stomp + travel form ftw).

What are you talking about? Master of none? Your cat form wtfowns rogues. They make me cry.

Shamans are worse than paladins IMO. A paladin is just annoying...a shaman can rape you. They can also fully heal with natures swiftness too. If your a melee class they just kite you and kill you with shocks. If your a ranged player they slow you and catch up and beat your face in with a WF 2 hander.

They suck at life is why. They are getting updated soon(or have they already..IDK I quit). After that they will own all most likely.

Dwarf Hunter
When it comes to atmosphere, balanced class and fun features then pick this race/class.

That's if they are a restoration build, and it's not always full health with the heal.

Secondly, if you're getting kited by a shaman with shocks you need to re-think what the hell you're doing. If he is kiting you, run backwards and then stop, once he starts running back to you run forward and you will be in melee range.

As for windfury, yeah it's sometimes bullshit. I one-shotted a 60 hunter with my epic two-handed mace (All the windfury damaged critted along with the weapon proc, which adds +200 damage to the swing :O)

I thought he was feigning death... But no.

WHAT EVER YOU DO! DONT ROLL A LOCK!
thank you.

What's wrong with locks? Mine was my first char and is lvl 60 and he wtfpwns Danimal's shaman :D

But I guess youre right, they are difficult to master for someone new to the game, and they do get owned at low lvl. BUT once you're 60, with some epics, you'll be pulling 2k dmg shadow bolts non-crits :) (and like 5k crits)

Btw for those that have locks, demonology build ftw.
