Xbox 360 Spring Update tomorrow morning

I am happy to inform you that the highly-anticipated Xbox 360 Dashboard update will be released tomorrow morning beginning at 0200 PT (See what time this is in your time zone.) This free update contains some of your top requested features including background downloading, boot to dash and others for a total of over 125 new features and enhancements. Read more details from the press release on Xbox.com.
While the update is being released at 0200 PT not everyone will receive it immediately. It can take up to four hours for a user to be prompted to receive this update, so please be patient. There is no way to speed up the process, every Xbox 360 will receive the prompt to upgrade sometime between 0200 and 0600 (or the next time you sign in to Xbox Live.)

Can't wait to get it tomorrow morning! I wonder what will be up their sleeves for the fall update? I mean all of my major gripes were fixed in this update... I'll let them decide that though.

Update is out, and takes less than a minute for it to download and install

Very nice so far! All of the issues I have with the dashboard are gone, but now it's time to find some other ones so they can have something to improve for their fall update.

is the new progress bar for songs broken for anyone ? the timer on the right works but the little bar thingside the 'container' does nothing. D:

also, you can now have custom music in xbox games but you can't control them.

The Best Buys, EBGames, Walmarts, and Gamestops over here don't have any.
They keep telling me they'll be getting a shipment in the coming weeks. >.>
So far it's been about 6 1/2 weeks.

Basically, this update means that you can start playing music in the dashboard and when you start playing a X-Box game the music will keep going. You won't be a able to change the music using the guide however. (As gthe guide doesn't work in backwards compatibility mode.

On MajorNelson's podcast they said you could advance the tracks with the Xbox360 remote or Harmony remote or w/e... It's not a supported feature, but it should work I guess.

did anyone else just receive an update (well, came home and i was signed out and an update was available, some time in the past 3 or so hours) ? was it the backwards compatability one ? i thought that wasn't due for a week or 2.

Yes there was a minor dashboard update today that fixed a small small bug with Chinese keyboard support... There is nothing new for us if you don't use Chinese though.

The back compat update is also out too.
