512 sucks when it comes to stuff like this lol...

lol, i like the Kill Bill reference in the Test Drive Unlimited video...

Is anyone else underwhelmed by this footage? I've just had look at a few of them and this stuff isn't really beyond what a good spec PC could do. Maybe I'm not looking at the right ones.

Might want to take into consideration that these movies are all running on alpha devkits that are 1/3 the power of the final xbox360 console. Also, most of the games themselves are unfinished. These movies are mostly just a taste of what is possible, the final product will be significantly better looking. Microsoft felt it was better to show realtime rendered gameplay even if it was crippled by the slow alpha devkit than prerendered CG movies like Sony did, since at least you know what you are seeing for the x360 is possible (and will be even better than what you see now). When the first xbox debuted at E3, Halo1 ran at 15-20fps, people thought it sucked - for the same reason, alpha devkits running much slower than the final hardware. Of course, that turned out awesome too.

Gears of War and Ghost Recon 3 seem to be the ones that impress the most

Thanks man :) This will take a while though.

Is this CoD2 footage, the 13 min long one, or just the 2 or so min long trailer?

Am I the only one who gets a really bad jerky effect on all the videos? This are really high quality, i can't ever remember having problems playing videos before.

These are WMVHD. One option is to get a video card that supports WMVHD hardware decoding like the GeForce 6600GT (or this fall's next-gen GeForce 7800GTX). That will take the load off your CPU. Another option is to use an Intel 3.0ghz+ CPU, as they are much better at decoding than AMD CPUs.

okies spend $300 to watch a 3minute movie, nice alternative.

Call of Duty on the XBOX360? Are you joking? The N64 could have run that game.

Or, I am way out of it and the game magically decided to redo their entire graphics engine and redo all textures and models.

Edit: Nope, still looks like shiat. The only reason they are making it on the Xbox360 is to get more sales. This game will use only a fraction of the power that the Xbox360 has.
