I have the orange box on both PC and 360, so I figured I'd give it a go on 360.. finally did it today.

Yeah he's right at the start of the game.

Honestly the achievment really isn't that hard (cept for the Hunter Chopper chase, where I just kept getting out and firing him over into the distance).

One thing that did piss me off though. I killed the chopper with nothing but it's own balls and didn't get the achievement for it. I suspect it's beause of the resistance that were firing rockets at him, but meh!

^you can't miss with any mine,every single mine ball bomb that you grav gun throw must hit the chopper

Oh by the way, the achievment at the end where you have to save all the buildings outside the silo... does that include the Saw Mill, cos no matter how hard I try that always gets destroyed before I can do anything... btw, I got the 'run 20 enemies over' achievment by pwning the hunters heh..

You DO know that you can use console cammands to get the achievment....right?

For anyone that wants the achievment but can't be bothered taking the little bugger from start to finnish, here are the console commands to create as many gnomes as you like.

prop_physics_create props_junk/gnome.mdl

then look at it and type in

ent_setname gnome

Yep that includes the saw mill what i usually do is leave a strider buster near where the strider comes out then stick near the saw mill till it comes then i sprint and fire it.

TF2 frends achv is real pain in ass D: I carry my gnome through all game. Witch chopper I use technique with camping behind car shooting gnome for 20 meters. Driving jaloppy to him and again.

I heard that there's a place on the hotrod to wedge him in so he can't fall out, never tried it myself though.

Its true, you have to put it in the cars rear windshield frame.

Just make sure he's properly wedged in and you shouldn't have a problem.

When I first saw the acheivement, I was like "oh, there must've been a random gnome near the rocket or something which I missed".

I saw it under the bed last time I played it through... I was like... "God, Valve. What's your problem, expecting me to carry this damn thing through the whole game??" I couldn't really believe they expected me to do it . But, well, it's been fun
