Well this is nostalgic.
Despite never really getting too involved I have a lot of fond memories of this place. It's funny how nearly fifteen years later I still recall the names and avatars of the people who posted here - yet I couldn't tell you a single thing about random chuckle**** #124921...
As you can't buy any you'll definitely be making potions. You'll need them for sure. Crafting allows you make some cool unique items, weapons and armours so it's pretty worthwhile too.
Sunk a couple of days into this game now and so far I'm blown away. Can't believe how much of a step up...
Pretty much this. Technically it's looking and sounding ****ing fantastic, which is good enough for me at the moment. Unsurprisingly the SP just looks like your standard CoD shooting gallery though. Couldn't really give two shits. Maybe it'll be entertaining enough to play through at least once...
I made the mistake of reinstalling BF2 at the weekend. Got repeatedly bombed to shit on Dalian Plant and then utterly destroyed as it endlessly rained grenades at Karkand. Felt like I was firing blanks the entire time as I struggled to hit anyone with any weapon. Ragequit.
MY MEMORIES ;(
Yeah, I'm not particularly impressed so far either. Definitely looks the part, but like most I couldn't give two shits about a single player campaign in a Battlefield game. No mod tools, no commander, four classes, killcams, regenerative health (apparently?) and even more unlockable shit than...
Got a multi-core CPU Mikael? Probably a long shot but I had the exact same issues with Fallout 3 until I edited the .ini files. For NV there's two in Documents\My Games and a third in the game folder with the .exe.
Set 'bUseThreadedAI' to 1 and add the line 'iNumHWThreads=2' (or 4 if you've...
You can repair unique weapons with their standard version. So if you've got the 'Lucky' revolver you should be able to repair it with .357 magnums. For completely unique weapons (like the Blade Runner pistol) you'll either have to pay merchants, or craft some weapon repair kits at workbenches...
Posted a while back, but try this for a performance boost: http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=34778
And I don't think that's a bug. Your skill level just affects your efficiency - so with a low skill it could take four or five similar weapons to get it to 100%, whereas with a...
Far less. No doubt there's stuff I haven't seen, but most of the time you're out exploring in the open. There's still a shit ton of places to go in and explore, but there's no endless metro system filled with ghouls to grind through. There's a big confusing sewer system under Vegas though, but I...
To be fair Quinns has been good so far, but yeah - he definitely comes across as if he's got an axe to grind there. This game is jam-packed full of little touches and solid design. To say they phoned it in is bollocks.
The fact that he holds up the DC/Metro sections and Little Lamplight as...
RPS is usually spot-on, but that's a pretty baffling review. I know those guys aren't fans of the Bethesda games (other than Morrowind), but the fact that he compares NV to FO3 and finds it worse is just madness. Especially when it comes to the writing and voice-acting. It's ****ing night and...
Worked here too, thanks for the link. Still doesn't run as great as I'd like in a couple of places but otherwise it's silky smooth now. Pretty shocking that got through testing to be honest. Then again, it is Obsid-bryo.

I just VPN'd this bitch earlier today and I'd say most of the reviews are spot-on from what I've played so far. FO3 was pretty buggy/unstable on the PC at least, but New Vegas might be even worse for the time being. Biggest gripe is the fact that my framerate dives into the teens when more than...
Yeah, I guess that's an option. Although China, Russia and Arabia are all currently ahead of me by 200-300 points. That could change if I start taking some cities. I did try that already though and despite building a whole bunch of colluseums, theatres and whatever else all over my empire the...
Somewhat ashamed to say this is my first Civ game, but I'm loving it so far.
Jumped into a new game (Prince) on a large earth map with Japan just to quickly see what it was like...and here I am 400+ turns later. **** this game.
Still learning a lot, but at this point for me to have...
