OK, I'm here to talk about the subject of the title of this thread.
I honestly don't understand why everybody gets so bent out of shape whenever they see a game that doesn't have brightly-saturated colors. All I hear is "Wow, that looks really brown." or "Too much grey."

I can understand why so many people are console gamers - you buy the system and it lasts you a good 3 or 4 years, if not longer. I've been constantly upgrading my system (RAM here, Video Card there) for the past couple years to keep it up-to-date. And with everything going in my life this...
Isn't Halo 1 the one that everybody says is the best?
The way I hear it Halo was awesome, Halo 2 was good, but not as good as Halo 1, and Halo 3 was good but overrated and overhyped.
On the other side of that, you have systems like those used in Oblivion - where the enemies level with you. I liked Oblivion a lot, but that was one of it's biggest problems.

I'm in the "gave up after 15 minutes" demographic. My biggest problem was that it was always fullscreen and you couldn't change the resolution. Thus, when the original res (I think it was 640x480 or something) is blown up to fit my 22" widescreen LCD, it looks like s***. It made it hard to play...
