Not so. Valve is LOADED. Their revenue is in the billions with Steam. I read an article recently that Valve makes more money per employee than Google.

Definately get the complete mod, + the weapon damage mod (ver .8 I think) for the complete mod. It's how I went through SoC the first time and I loved it.

I literally just beat Shadow of Chernobyl 2 days ago for the first time with the Complete mod. Was going to grab Pripyat (for 15 bucks on steam) but I wanted to wait for the complete mod. I really enjoyed it.

I could never quite put my finger on why, but Rome is undeniably the best Total War title. Medieval 2 can only compete with mods. *Edit* Note: Have not tried Shogun 2 yet. Very much enjoyed the first.
