5 children arrested for "attempted" murder...

http://edition.cnn.com/2005/WORLD/europe/06/01/britain.arrests/index.html

LONDON, England -- Five children have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a 5-year-old boy suffered neck injuries, police said.

Officers were called to an area of West Yorkshire, northern England, Tuesday evening after a member of the public found the victim with a number of bruises to his body and marks to his neck.

The boy was injured during an incident in woodland near a medical center in Dewsbury between 5:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. Tuesday, West Yorkshire police said.

"The victim is a 5-year-old child who has suffered some serious injuries which is why those whose were arrested last night and this morning were actually arrested for attempted murder," Detective Superintendent Andy Brennan told reporters.

"The injuries looked quite horrific in themselves."

Brennan would not rule out media speculation that the neck marks had been caused by the child being hanged with a rope.

"He has marks around his neck which could be consistent with ligature marks. There are marks around his neck which cause me concern," he said.

"It's too early to say whether these were caused by a rope around his neck."

Five children -- two 11-year-old girls, two 12-year-old boys and a 12-year-old girl -- were all arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and were being interviewed by detectives at Dewsbury police station.

None are related to the victim but all were said to be from the local area.

Brennan said he expected to make another two or three arrests soon but would not specify the ages of these suspects.

The victim was being interviewed by specialist officers after being treated overnight at Dewsbury District Hospital.

"Clearly it will be a painstaking account that will be taken from him covering all aspects in relation to how he ended being in the location he was found and what has taken place," Brennan said.

A police spokesman said the incident happened in a wooded area to the rear of the Earlsheaton Medical Center in Dewsbury.

Makes my stomach turn.

What I want to know is what their parents are like.

I think OvA was trying to make some cruel, sick, and tasteless joke.

Develop some humanity.

Anyways... Wow, ****ing kids. Pieces of shit, if they did it, need to be punished good.

Leave the cows alone, or else i'll hack and kill and eat your hamburger.

Terrible. Just terrible. I'm glad the child was only injured.

OH GOD! WHAT HAVE I BECOME!?

Why have I become blind to the plight of these people!?!?

*gouges eyes out with paper towel roll*

Shit, you get to see how bad the world has become when little kids start killing people. Reminds me of that movie 'City of God'. A little while ago here in Australia some 14 year old girls killed a disabled taxi driver. Its really disgusting.

Parents are being too soft on their kids these days. I'm talking about not letting them know where boundries are, and not raising them properly. They just let them run around and do whatever the hell they want... And this is how kids like this are made. Some just take it further than others.

Really? Everything I do in my life is what my parents want me to do. The only expection is gaming, and anything that involves TV or Computer.

"GameCast? Man see, there's only a GameCube and a Dreamcast and....."
"You hear me fool I said i gots me a GameCast! I can't afford nona that shit I live on the streets!"
"Damn. Aiiight, Aight."
Gotta love Malibu's Most Wanted. Sorry I just wanted to uh, quote that....... :)

Well hopefully they get whats coming to them. At age 11 and 12 they most certainly knew the crime they were committing. I can see anything less then something like 6 or so, but 11 & 12? bah try them as adults...

WTF?

What do they teach in schools/homes?

Another fruit.

What brought this up now? It happened last June.

Well they're under suspicion and are being questioned. Obviously something led the police to suspect them, but we'll see if its founded.

Heh, not me. I'm terrible when people tell me what to do. You're allowed to remind me what to do, and ill problably do it. Its just when people try to force me to do things.

shit like this happens all the time.

It's not even shocking to me anymore. Pay attention to any news at night, it's full of things like this.

Thats what you get fo messin' with tha east side, biatch.

Why the hell would a bunch of 12 and 11 year old kids pick on someone who is 5. I would personally kick all those kids' asses.
