I went to see The Flaming Lips at a festival yesterday (with my good friend Naph!). They were positively life affirming. It was just a string of highlights, him going out into the crowd in a giant bubble after being birthed from a giant vagina. The confetti. The hands of God (pictured below) that could shoot dozens of laser beams. The scantily clad women. I didn't get photos of most of this stuff because I was too busy trying to stop having an aneurysm from all the awesomeness.

I urge you all, please see this band before you die.

I need to make a conscious effort to get better at photography I'm given very great opportunities for photos and I **** them up.

It was awhile back but I'm fairly sure I had my nifty fifty on 1.8 F-Stop and 1600 ISO trying to keep my shutter speed as far down as possible. I've been a busy bee with more concert photography. I desperately want a media pass because though I can take some nice photos from the front row the composition often gets ****ed since I'm always using my 50 and I have no way to adjust my distance or angle at which I'm taking the photo That said I'd love to invest in a new lens but I have no idea what to get.

I think I'm getting better? I can't tell. Further critiques welcome

Took a bunch of pics yesterday of a British Rally called Sunseekers down in the forest opposite my parents house. Really good fun... Small selection of the best!

A split second later and that car would have been really well framed in the trees

Love those rally pics, Stormy. Good to see some of the cars that the DiRT series got me interested in. The Metro 6R4 pic is lovelies as is the Ford Escort mk2 below it. Good choice to stand on that corner. Very long easy right maybe.

I've just noticed ive been a bit of a retard. All the cars where facing the same direction so with out thinking much of it flipped a bunch to make them a little more exciting... But of course that has made all the advertising go back to front lol
