And while we're discussing concept art here, I've got a question for you guy. In the HL model viewer, there's a model of an alien called kingpin.mdl (see attachment) but he also appears on this concept art of HL2, freaky creature..

I can remember any scene with Kingpin appeared in Half Life.

It appears in a Sven Co-op map, but not quite so detailed. Might the other beta aliens (chum toads, those flying bat things?) make it into HL2?

I know because i went to PHL and had a look at the concept art of what this thing looked like. :farmer:

On the other hand i doubt that any of those mad little extras that never made it to the full game are going to get in, they aren't detailed models and they wouldn't fit in the mood of HL2 because they were designed for HL, i can't see chum toads in city 17, but then i can't see city 17 so maybe they are.... :angry: i'm blind!!!

Uh, I hardly think remodeling for Source them is going to be a great hurdle.

Well it isn't that great a hurdle but when they have these creatures that weren't good enough to go into HL then why put them into HL2? It's more story orientated, it would be a bit of a sham to just go, hey look at these old models we didnt bother using lets slot them in. Bit of duct tape.
