I know that if I say a trailer of Deus Ex, I wouldn't have liked it. It's not about the graphics. We'll have to see how it plays.
 
It doesnt show graphics, just fmv, it's very cheesesy and the look is nothing like the original.

I enjoyed the intro, actually. People should watch it and judge for themselves.

I did enjoy the intro, it left me open to the game, I'm looking forward to the game more now.

Cheese is relative, anyway. Clearly the Deus Ex series is not to your taste.

If you hate it so very much then why start a thread about it? It's as bad as all those D3 fanboys who start threads about how much better it is than HL2 or vice versa... Seriously, you don't seem to have a point to prove.
But cheers for alerting me to the release of this. Although I'm surprised that they released the intro. Not so sure about that decision. Or the decision to do it in FMV and not in-game.
Does anyone have any idea when it's gonna be released?
 
God what a troll. This game will probably be the best SP experience and you're calling it shit because of a CGI intro. GOD these little kids know nothing about good games.

HOW the hell was it cheesy? did you even play dx1?

I thought it looked alright, hardly any cheesier than most games.
Dunno exactly when it comes out but I think it's supposed to be this year anyway.

And people say HL had the best single-player story line! Ha... Silly kids :)

Anyway, can't wait for Deus Ex 2, will be something special, plus I love new hud.

The CGI Intro sets the feel and look for the rest of the game, good ones do anyway, so yes I can judge the game IN GENERAL after seeing the intro, it says alot more than you think it does.

Kid? Thanks but I'm 19, how old are you? I also started playing computer games when I was 4 on the Atari 2600. So I know plenty about what needs to be in a game for it to be good.

the halflife series story is very unoriginal, aliens taking over the world...a lot of games have better stories. Its the gameplay that i like about it. deus ex has got to be my #1 game of all time, you just gotta have a bit more patience then with the shooter halflife. the intro was cool, but a bit unbelievable. destroying a whole city?? and why do some of you think DX2 has lousy graphics?? it looks as great as any new upcoming game! anywayz, i havent seen a 5 min. e3 video but the links dont work :(

Half Life's stroy was B-movie, derivative even, but HL excelled in the telling of the tale.... DE's story wasn't amazingly origianal either... it's a good idea :)... I loved DE, and I loved HL :)
 
But do you know WHY you like Deus Ex? Other than the fact that everyone tells you its good?
 
Dues Ex is awesome! Why you ask? Uh...umm...because everyone else said so that's why so take that!

(Dues Ex blew, did nothing for me.)
 
What didn't you like about it?

I loved every second of it.... not because everyone else loves it, but becuase it gave me CHOICE! I loved that, people reacting to my previous actions.... :)
 
Story is what drives me into a game really. I don't honestly care about anything other than the story that unfolds. Personally, Dues Ex's story was like a cheesy action film.
 
Yeah, but you WERE part of of the movie, you made it happen, you belonged in the world :D

Only explanation I heard about Deus Ex sucking is that graphics were ancient. Deus Ex has much more detailed world than HL\HL2 ever had\will have. Maybe your brain is not up to it or you don’t like games that are complex. That’s another story. We all know that people like to waste their time on mindless fun, so there you go.
 
I got another thing thats great abot Deus Ex: references to the Illuminati/ Thomas Aquinas quotes.... so many secrets... so many Easter eggs... so many historical references :)

Deus Ex only just scratced the surface, they boiled things like transcendental illumination,
immortality, omnicognizance, and omnipotence done to a level a 12 year old could understand.


And where btw was your choice? It gave you the illusion of choice but you never actually had real choice, just a few pre determined paths.


I also said the DE2 video looked like a cheesey action flick.

I insulted myself? How I wonder, because I stated the truth? I am maybe a HL fanboy, but I know there are games out there that are much better than HL.
 
No no not HL, HL2. You said straight up, that Dues Ex was better than HL2, which I found funny.
 
I don't think HL2 will be better than Deus Ex, story wise.
