Doesnt this pose a problem.

Either

1. You're driving and you cant see what the passanger shooting at; requires good ai to know what to target.

2. The AI drives and you just shoot making it on rails shooter which is pants.

They said they are working on improving the AI in the driving/shooting sections. I got the impression that the bits when the AI drives won't be on-rails per se.

There was a sequence in Far Cry where AI drove and player shooted and it was quite fun imo.

As long as the driver AI is better than in Halo 2. So many times i got killed by a wraith because my driver tried to drive up a wall. Eventually I just jumped out and hyjacked the damn wraith.

And with Valve saying that every time you fight a battle it will be different they would hardly put you on a rail.

Lol yeah, the marines in the Warthog sucked. They had to kill every enemy and wouldn't let you go until you had. It was appualing and I hope its better in Halo 3.

The AI in Halo was pretty clever when it comes to targetting enemies, no reason to think the AI in HL2 wouldn't be better. But I still think the buggy should have a mounted turret for better firepower.
