Valve Fans:

I am the managing editor of a gaming website, and we have been given the opportunity to interview Valve.

We have the questions that we want to ask, but we figured it would only make sense to also allow the game's community to ask some questions. So, if you have any inquiries regarding Valve or any of there games, feel free to post them here and we will pass them along to Doug Lombardi(marketing director of Valve).

I mean, the effects/shaders.
 
  1. Will we find out the truth if Dr. Breen is dead or alive in Episode 2?
  2. In Half-Life 2: Episode One, when you died Alyx, or others never really acknowedged your death (althougth the resistance and the Citizens did say something). Will we see a change in this in Episode 2? For example, will Alyx say something like "Oh no Gordon!" "Oh my God Gordon!" 'No don't die Gordon..No!" or "Gordon NO!!!"

Is there any TF2 facial support linked to the microphone, meaning that the player's character's face will dynamicly change considering the volume intensity of the player's voice?
 
Will there ever be another making-of book in the same vein as Raising the Bar?

A recent Gamespot preview hinted at an antlion queen. Is she real, or was she actually a king or more powerful guard?

How prominent will Vortigaunts be in this episode?

Will the Combine "spotting-scope" (I think that's what its called) make a reappearance, given the surely wider scenery in Episode Two? It doesn't make sense to only use it once in an entire game. It's the device on Highway 17 the Combine used to watch the Resistance base, New Little Odessa.
 
Will Valve do something about weapon changing times? It tooks a long time to switch from any gun to GG and vica versa imho.

Will Valve use that pretty nice rain effect in the game which we could see in a presentation connected to dual-core processors? And it would be very nice to see a huge storm with thunder and big wind, and everything... just an opinion.

Will ever Odessa Cubbage and Father Grigori return in the HL franchise?

1. Kleiner is father of Alyx joke in Episode One, is this a reference to PC Games magazine's (12/04) Half-Life 2 review?

Note: Reviewer says Alyx is daughter of Kleiner on the magazine.

2. Why there are no cockroaches in Half-Life 2?

3. Why scientist's voice in the locked office (Anomalous Materials Lab) can be heard in German version of Half-Life?

4. Did you guys gave a licence of Gold Source Engine to Radioactive Software or Aerotic Software for commercial expansion packets?

When they said that, they meant the Antlion Guard.

They've been saying that for the past year, of course someone will die.
 
By switching weapons faster I meant, that if I'd like to switch from the SMG to the Gravity Gun, I want it to take like 0,2 seconds till I can use the weapon. Not that if I highlighted a weapon in the HUD I dont want to have to click once with my mouse to have Gordon switch to it. (I hope you can understand what I wrote :P) (Try HL2 and HL2: Deathmatch, in DM you can switch to GG instantly.)
