Yup, I saw these photos in high-res somewhere and Crysis really looks real compared to those huge pictures too.

Graphics are nice. Gameplay looks as though it sucks ass.
I'm simply saying if you enlarge the pictures they don't look that great. I mean, still great...but not really that real life at all.

The grass looks dodgey and the top pic looks dodgey too. But in-game looks amazing. I have no high hopes for the gameplay. They've lowered since i found out you will have special "powers". I hate that kind of stuff.

I'm just getting it for the graphics

My favorite thing about Far Cry was the Sandbox editor that came with it. Creating my own personal tropical getaway is more than worth the price of admission for me. I hope that a new editor will be included and will be as great to use as the last iteration.

Anyone know if they will be licensing their game engine? I think it would be a great engine for several games, and that way, new games could just jump right in, applying their own artistic parts, and games could be finished in a fraction of the time.

My guess is no.

I'm sure they're saying they are working on improving AI from Far Cry (which I found fun to fight against for about a play-through - then it was too easy) but I bet it'll be just like Far Cry but the AI will have a few new tricks.

I'm gonna need to see some really good examples of the AI if I'm gonna even think about getting this.

I have no doubts about Crysis' gameplay, they made Far Cry which had great gameplay, and the weapon and suit modding will only add to that. The only place it could fall short is in the story/characters/dialogue part like Far Cry, and even if it did its other strengths can hold it up, as Far Cry's did.

I must admit the screenshots in Julys PCZone caught me off guard, I had some trouble making out if it was real or not but I'd say it would look fecking spectacular in motion. But WTF is up with Next Gen games ditching the HUD?
