Confused about ati hl2 offer...

I want hl2 on cdrom, box, you know, what you'd get if you bought it in stores. on the faq it says...

now, are they sending me the cdrom or just dloading it through steam (because it requires the barcode/receipt to receive it)? sorry for the dumbass question, but i really need to know (tried searching).

GEez. Well, you have to actually send a request thru the mail to get the hard copy of the game. And then you will have to wait 4-6 weeks after the game is released to get it. My advice is to either download it or buy a copy from a store.

You get a hard copy if you send in the infromation to ATI, but you can just type in the code on a new Steam account as the CD-Key for HL and you can DL it as soon as it becomes availible.

It will preload into Steam. Just enter your code and you can play.

Yea, you can enter your CD key into Steam, and recieve the Half-Life suite of games until the Half-Life 2's release - at which time you'll be able to preload and eventually play Half-Life 2.

If you want the box copy then you'll have to send it away - which would take a very long time and most probably damage the box - so better to buy it :|.
