Hey guys. I got this NMB-MAT 4715KL-04W-B56 fan from work for free. They didn't need it, so I took it, hoping to use it on my computer at home as the side fan.

Only for me to realize it's some proprietary dell shit 5-pin connector that has only four wires.

I want to be able to connect it to one of the adapters on my power supply so it can get the power it needs... Molex or whatever it has to be.

Problem is, I can't seem to find any adapters for this conversion. Been searching for a while with no real luck... just some suggestions on cutting off some of them and wrapping parts in electrical tape etc. I want to leave that as a last resort.

Seems like a lot more effort than just buying a fan.

But how do you even know if it's a good fan? It's probably noisy as shit, and then you just wasted that money. Opposite of savings!
